Collection: Reebok
Reebok International Limited is an American industrial company specializing in the production of sports goods and accessories. Part of the German industrial group Adidas AG, it was founded in 1895, originally under the name Mercury Sports, and was renamed Reebok in 1958. It takes its name from the Afrikaans-Dutch spelling of rhebok, a species of African antelope. Company founders Joe and Jeff Foster found the name "Reebok" in a dictionary that Joe Foster had won in a race when he was a boy; The dictionary was in a South African edition, hence the spelling of the name. Reebok is now owned by the German sportswear giant Adidas, which definitively acquired the company in early 2006.
