SPEAKEASY ISSUE/05: 30.11.2025

The Speakeasy in S. Andrea is more certain than death.

And so, to celebrate the Saint, Blog Don't Lie presents the ultimate expression of research, experimentation, and passion. And it's not just about clothes. A couple of hours spent well spent eating, drinking, dancing, and even trying on outfits.

Ale Sabatti's expert hand at the pouring table has allowed us to discover two new drinks linked to the Sabatti Apertivo. The Sabatti Loggia with Sabatti, Vermouth Rosso and Gin and the Sabatti Italiano with Sabatti, Vermouth Rosso and Soda Water.

Ale moves his hands to the rhythm of the doses, careful not to interfere with Tony Boy's rhythm. He's now a guaranteed addition to any DJ set. Antonio, as usual, starts at a very specific time, but no one knows when he'll end. He's transported by the sounds of his vinyl records. Carefully researched throughout the week, he's always prepared.

Then Giacomo arrives, in his Piaggio Ape. He'd been preparing his specialty, pulled pork, for days. We plated it Burger King-style and served it between a vinyl record and a drink.

The rest is already well known, and if you don't know what goes on at the Speakeasy in the evening, you're probably better off staying away. Bad luck.

After a few months away, partly due to renovations to the exterior of the shop, we're ready to return.

But we won't tell you anything; stay tuned.

Simple.
